Mr. Incredible
Mr. Incredible was born in Captivity in 2004 to a WC female who was collected gravid, from the Essequibo river delta in Guyana, South America. I purchased him in person from Pete Bandre at Incredible Pets in Melbourne, Florida. For many years, Pete had access to top quality Guyanese animals (boas and others) due to his relationship with a US citizen living in Guyana and working as an exporter.
I purchased Mr. Incredible for his contrast, head and facial markings, consistent pattern, and bright tail. He and his siblings were all fantastic looking and it was a hard decision to pick one over another.
I began sharing Mr. Incredible on the boa forums almost immediately after quarantining and acclimating him to my collection. I was blown away by how beautiful he was at such a young age. Quite simply, his appearance was; incredible. Not only was he incredible looking, but he was also from Incredible Pets. I had already begun naming my males Mr. _____ and so it was a natural fit to call him: Mr. Incredible.
At three and a half years of age, Mr. Incredible was paired with Rose for the 2007-2008 breeding season. In an unexpected way, he lived up to his name. I had never seen relentless courtship like that. It was unbelievable. I was rewarded for his efforts (doesn't seem fair does it?) with 11 babies and one slug in August of 2008 and I named the litter "Rose, Inc."
This litter is regarded by most as one of the best BCC litters ever produced. There wasn't an ugly baby in the bunch - despite one male being named "ugly JB".
For the 2009-2010 season, Mr. Incredible was paired with Lily and again, he came through! This litter was smaller however, 7 babies with several slugs. However, I view this as a huge success as Lily had only been in my collection for 12 months before I placed Mr. Incredible with her. Female BCC do not have a very good track record of reproducing after being moved to a new collection.
I'm going to offer some of these babies for sale in the first half of 2011. If you'd like to be notified when they're available, please let me know by emailing me your first and last name at jebrady03@gmail.com
