My NEXt Camera

My wife really likes the quality of the pictures from my Canon 60D (a DSLR) but HATES the size and weight of it. She also has expressed her displeasure with the lack of quick focusing from her P&S as well as the lower quality pictures in low light. I'd like to get her something better, but there really aren't many options and none that would address all of her needs. Well, until now...

A few links to various resources I find helpful and informative. In some cases the content may be considered "advanced" but for the most part it's written with a large audience in mind.

RioBravoReptiles.com - by far the most successful locality boa producer in the US, if not the world. Be sure to check out "An Introduction to Boas" and "Care & How to Data"

CuttingEdgeHerp.com - Vin Russo is another extremely successful locality boa producer here in the US. He works with several other herps as well. His site is mostly a retail site but I'm including it because you can purchase his book "The Complete Boa Constrictor" from his site. It's a "must have" for any boa enthusiast, regardless of the level of experience.

Boa-Constrictors.com - Hermann is Europes version of Vin Russo, but he's also a rather outspoken critic of crossing boa localities and subspecies, which often times alienates people. However, his site does have some good info on it as well as some BEAUTIFUL boas!

BasicallyBoas.com - Information on fat rats and what they do to boas. A MUST read!

Kingsnake.com boa forum - due to heavy censorship and numerous people being "banned", this site is no longer the number one boa information site on the net, but there is still occasionally a worthwhile discussion that doesn't get deleted

Here is a little bit of information about PETA and the HSUS's TRUE motivations:

PETA thinks: - "We believe that it would have been in the animals' best interests if the institution of "pet keeping"—i.e., breeding animals to be kept and regarded as "pets"—never existed." Their ultimate goal is to take your pets away. All of them! Yes, your puppies and kittens too!

Humane Society of the US - Think your donation to the HSUS is going to help animals and/or shelters? Think again! These guys are worse than PETA!
